The year 2025 was a period full of experience for Fate War players, marked by significant changes to the game’s core dynamics. New systems, newly introduced heroes, and the long-awaited migration feature became the main topics shaping the community’s agenda.
One of the most talked-about developments of the year was the arrival of the new archer hero, Farhad. Although Farhad appeared extremely powerful in theory thanks to his Piercing Blades ability, which offers a chance to ignore enemy shields and protection effects, practical testing led some players to report that he fell short of expectations. Certain reports suggest that Farhad was designed as a counter to shield-focused heroes such as Arthur and Aska; however, real battle reports indicate that older heroes like Helda still deliver more stable performance. On the infantry side, Arthur continues to hold his title as one of the strongest heroes in the game, both in open-field battles and during sieges.
The introduction of the Armament system provided players with a new source of power, but also turned progression into a costly process. According to experienced players, a much smarter strategy, especially for low-budget players, is to maximize purple (elite) equipment rather than rushing directly toward gold (legendary) gear. Purple items are cheaper to upgrade, and a fully upgraded purple set can outperform a poorly developed gold set in terms of stats. In addition, reshaping the random attributes of equipment pieces with runes to match your chosen troop type (infantry, archer, or cavalry) is critically important.
Toward the end of 2025, the Kingdom Migration system was finally officially announced. Its core rules are as follows:
At higher stages of the game, true victory is determined not just by raw power, but by rune and artifact setups. Infantry players are advised to focus on defense and health runes, while archers should prioritize runes that provide damage multipliers. PvE events such as Molten Pit are vital for acquiring equipment materials, while using cavalry units in Black Knight Invasion can double efficiency by enabling faster movement.
As players leave 2025 behind as a year of major learning and experience, the main expectation for 2026 is a more balanced hero meta and more economically sustainable events. In particular, the addition of new counter mechanics against the current meta dominated by Freya stands out as the community’s biggest desire.
